Dr. Roselyne Gichana is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine. She served as a clinical fellow at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine while also undergoing training in a general practice residency at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She completed her specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the George Washington University and Children’s National Medical Center.
As part of her training, Dr. Gichana learned to care for children with special needs, such as physical and mental disabilities. She has a certificate in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities. She can advise parents on medicine, diet, and dental care techniques for a special-needs child.
Dr. Gichana is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and also a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society, and Maryland Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Gichana holds hospital privileges at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and Pediatric Specialists of Virginia.
Dr. Gichana is married with two sons. She speaks fluent English, Italian, and Swahili, and is functional in French and Spanish.
